How To Eat Well.


Never mind this is not going to be some nonsense about take this supplement or take that sort of green goop. No sirree Us old timers know how to eat well to live well.

Think back to the world as I knew it growing up. If you wanted soup you made soup. First you decided if you wanted beef, fish chicken or maybe even vegetable stock. If you didn't have stock you made it. For chicken stock you saved all your chicken bones and goodies from the cooking pot where you cooked the chicken for dinner , scooped them into a pot, added lots of root vegetables, potatoes, celery, carrots and onions were staples add a little salt and you simmered it all together for several hours, Strained it and now you had chicken stock. Might even take the opportunity to use the strainings to fix chicken soup especially if you had some nice chicken pieces to add.

Sad truth is that now you have to get organic vegetables and free range chicken to get the same quality we started with and they call this progress?

so step one to makign great soup is to make great stock then get great vegetables and that of course means deciding what sort of soup you want.
